ALASKA

Impressive glaciers, year-round whale watching, and rugged mountain terrains are just a couple of otherworldly features defining this massive and mysterious U.S. state. It’s ideal if you love the outdoors and crave being surrounded by nature. Currently, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Long Beach are the only U.S. departure ports that offer roundtrip Alaska sailings. The high season is from mid-May through the end of September. However, for warmer temperatures, book between late June to August. Summer is still chilly, so pack a sporty windbreaker for the day and a comfy sweater to keep you warm at night.

BERMUDA

Right off the coast of North Carolina, are islands tropical enough to be featured side-by-side with the likes of Aruba and Jamaica in the song Kokomo, by the Beach Boys (we know—now it’s stuck in your head). Bermuda’s pink sand beaches, Royal Navy Dockyard and interactive Dolphin Quest keep guests coming back for more. Many cruise itineraries offer overnight docking, allowing for nature exploration during the day and dinner and dancing at night. It’s a small, easy-to-navigate island chain, with tons of delicious restaurants.
