Cruising is always evolving and in that spirit new cruise ships are debuting often! Over the past few months specifically, some of the largest and most innovative ships we’ve seen have been launched or are awaiting their inaugural sailing. To keep track, we’ve put together this guide to help you learn all about the exciting new vessels and their brand-new features on your favorite cruise lines debuting in 2022 & 2023.
Celebrity Beyond
The third ship in the revolutionary Edge Series, Celebrity Beyond takes innovative outward-facing design further than ever with an additional deck and lengthening of the ship by 65 feet. The Beyond combines all your favorite elements of the Edge and Apex, such as the Rooftop Garden and Magic Carpet, with newly reimagined and expanded spaces. Read more about the Celebrity Beyond here.
The Retreat
The exclusive resort space for suite guests will feature all-new suites and, for the first time, a two-story Retreat Sundeck, offering more outdoor bliss and ways to rejuvenate in the fresh ocean air with secluded cabanas, new seating areas, additional water features and the exclusive Retreat Bar.
Sunset Bar
Nate Berkus designed the reimagined Sunset Bar, now nearly twice the size, creating a chic Moroccan-inspired escape complete with multilevel terraces offering spectacular views and countless niches for conversation.
Norwegian Prima
Norwegian is launching the first of six ships in its highly anticipated brand-new Prima class in August 2022 with the Norwegian Prima. Designed to elevate every experience while offering wide-open spaces and a luxurious feel with the highest staff-to-guest ratio, the Norwegian Prima will offer a cutting-edge design and revolutionary firsts found at sea.
Ocean Boulevard
Walk over water across Oceanwalk’s glass bridge or relax in a hammock at the brand-new Indulge Outdoor Lounge. You can also get up close and personal with the sea as you swim up to the horizon from one of the infinity pools at Infinity Beach. The ocean has never been closer!
The Haven
Private elevators whisk you away to your exclusive enclave where your personal concierge and 24-hour butler cater to every craving. Enjoy the Haven Lounge & Bar, dip into the infinity pool or relax in the outdoor sauna and cold room—all exclusively for guests of The Haven.
Disney Wish
Disney is launching its newest ship in a decade in 2022 with the Disney Wish, and it’s the most magical ship yet. Disney fans will get to enjoy a Frozen-themed theatrical dining experience, a Marvel dinner adventure, and an adults-only Star Wars lounge, just to name a few of the brand-new experiences created for guests.
Adult Spaces
Disney did not forget about adults’ vacation needs when designing the Disney Wish. While the Star Wars lounge is open to all ages during the day, at night it becomes an adult’s only haven offering out-of-this-world concoctions. The Keg & Compass Pub will offer live TV Sports broadcasts and custom craft brews, while the New Orleans-inspired Bayou lounge will feature live entertainment and creative cocktails.
Wonder of the Seas
Royal Caribbean rolled out its fifth Oasis-class ship that also features some unique additions. Upon completion, the Wonder of the Seas took the crown from its older sister Symphony of the Seas as the largest cruise ship in the world and sails to popular Asian destinations while homeporting in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
All New Eighth Neighborhood
The first Oasis-class ship to debut a brand-new neighborhood, Wonder of the Seas features an eighth neighborhood—one just for suite guests. The new neighborhood spanning decks 17 and 18 provides a private experience like no other, featuring world-class dining, a new sun deck with unparalleled ocean views, a private lounge and restaurant and much more.
